It was a great night even though there were moments of battle related to withdrawal (from the opiates he was on) and ICU delirium - restless, wiggly and jittery. He didn't sleep deeply most of the night but did get moments of rest and his mind has cleared even more. What we saw Thursday was basically the most sleep deprived a person can get. Despite being medically sedated, the body does not ever go into normal sleep rhythms. Time is getting his body back on track from a week without sleep.
This morning Isaiah has spent time chatting with dad, he saw a Water Park of America commercial and asked if he could go and he asked if he could build a Lego set. We've seen smiles and he was off to his first shower! Then time for a nap!
Psalm 126:3
"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."
That verse says it all!!! Thank you God.

Praise the Lord! It never ceases to amaze me how God just continues his great works! Still praying for you all and it's a great feeling knowing every time I read this blog that God is continuing to work little by little. ReplyDeleteIsaiah, we are so thankful that you are feeling better! We think you'd have so much fun at the Water Park of America! We went there a couple times 3-4yrs ago and had a blast. You are such a strong, brave boy and we praise God for you and your family.
