"He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth—the Lord God Almighty is his name."
Lots of improvements being made! Yet, Satan tries to take us down the path of "what if." This is especially a battle for Anna, as you can imagine being the mom of this situation. Battle with her against the uncertainty of "what if" and may she be filled with rejoicing and peace for "what is."
Good things: Isaiah did well through the night, his breathing has been good, his blood work is improving steadily (both hemoglobin & oxygenation). He is being weaned off narcotic meds and blood pressure medication. The central line (IV) in his neck will be removed today as well as the arterial line in his arm once the blood pressure med is done. He will have physical therapy this afternoon. A speech therapist will come to assess his "swallower" (pretty sure that's a technical term). If everything is working as it should be he can take clear liquids as tolerated.
Ways you can be praying:
- Against infection - his white blood count has increased but is still normal, they are also keeping an eye on his C-reactive protein levels in his blood.
- Isaiah's nutrition- For a desire on Isaiah's part for clear liquids as well as ability for his body to tolerate them
- His comfort as he is further weaned off sedatives and more aware of discomfort; withdrawal symptoms from being on certain meds are a reality of his situation as well, that is managed with additional medications but can still be a cause of discomfort
This is Aunt Nan. Praising God for his work!! And we are praying all the time. Thanks for the specific needs. All our love to all of you!
