Morning Update - January 8, 2015

This is the latest I have heard from Room 121.

God provided many good things through the night.  Isaiah has been sleep deprived for over a week and also has a painfully sore throat.  He hasn't spoken or used his muscles in a week.  Isaiah shared an overtired face with Anna last night so today will be focused on getting him back on a normal schedule. His muscles are weak and he doesn't quite remember he can use them or where they are since his arms were restrained for a week. We will work on orienting his mind as well as figure out what pain control he needs and live a 'normal day' with minimal hospital interruption (praise for support from his nurse in keeping the action in his room to a minimum!). Pray he responds quickly to the routine and begins to orient to reality.  Pray also that he would be brave as he faces a sore throat.  It's easy to give in to the discomfort rather than battle for healing.

Thank you also for praying for Steve specifically.  He has gotten some rest and his spirits are lifted.  Both Anna and Steve are encouraged and motivated.

  1. Isaiah is in the loving arms of our good, loving shepherd, Jesus. I know....He shared it to me in the night. Our gratitude for all the prayers offered for our grandson we love so much, Steve, Anna, Evy and Naomi. Also, the entire extended families of Anna and Steve.

  2. We continue to pray for this precious boy, Isaiah, and his family! I know this is so difficult. Rest in The Lord always! May His healing hand be upon Isaiah's throat, digestive system, and mind and muscles. Praise God for the healing process to this point. We trust it will continue to improve in the Lord's time.

Love and Hugs to you all!!

    "Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
    They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
