We plan to ask if Isaiah can resume school activities to some capacity after his stent removal next week. Can friends hug or do we "high-five"? What sort of limitations on movement do we need to be aware of and other precautions to take as Isaiah continues to heal? We are thankful to see Dr. C before the stent removal simply to have a good idea of how things are progressing. During the stent removal next week they will also be evaluating things on the inside and checking to see if there is any leaking in the kidney or ureter. If that is the case, the stent would need to remain for a bit longer.
It should be another good visit of learning and assessing where we are at. Isaiah has been an energetic little guy as of late and struggles with hearing about school and recess from his sisters. He is excited to know, but also laments that he can't be apart of it yet. He understands it is all for the good and that he will be back to normal soon enough. For now we are treasuring our time together during the day and taking naps together...we will have some habits to wean from soon ;)
His teacher from school stops over several times a week to see him and do a little "schooling" with him. He will have no trouble jumping back in when he is able. For now he enjoys his special one-on-one time with his beloved Mrs. W! She made him a half-hour long video of the class, which he LOVES, and brings pictures and projects that the class has made for him. It is truly amazing how much love is poured out on his behalf. It brings him to tears from time to time! We are so blessed by our school support as well.
Thank you, as always, for your prayers and support over the past few weeks.
