Evening Update - January 9, 2015

The blessings abound...

• Isaiah's tender heart is shining through.  He offered some of his "yummy" lunch to mom and dad as well as his Vaseline to ease mommy's dry lips.
• He requested a much needed and long hug from mommy.  He is so happy to be able to touch, kiss, and hug again.
• Yes, he's eating!  This is a new development today.  He loved his lunch of pasta and carrots and even told Anna and Steve he had to save dessert for last.
• He spent the morning with different therapies and sitting in a wheelchair.
• He took a good nap.
• Discussion of possibly moving off the ICU and to the regular peds floor is starting.  Thrilling!

We continue to pray for the process of purging his system of the meds that he was on for so long.  This process can take up to two weeks.  Every day we see more and more of the Isaiah we know.  You can continue to pray for restful sleep at night as well as protection of his body from any other illness or infection that might try to creep in.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.
